Organica: Logo Art for Organica Store
When we were introduced to this project, I knew I wanted to do some art for a company that I liked. I had a few options but the one always popping up was a company, back home in Panama, called Organica. This store/restaurant is the place to go if you want to buy or eat new healthy, organic things. After choosing it as my company for the project, we did a word exercise and the words corn, flowers, green, rice, etc., came up when thinking of organic, so I went from there. My concept consisted in making this art organic, elegant, and natural to go hand in hand with the current logo, so I covered the name of the store with stems, flowers, crops, etc. to bring the design to life. I knew I wanted my design to be simple, but meaningful because organic basically means simple and natural. I went for an elegant and natural look for the design. I included stems with flowers, leaves, and even crops, to make the design look as organic as possible. Their past logo was getting old, in my opinion, but I wanted to keep their color alive for the new one. I tried making the word black, but it looked like it didn’t fit with the illustration, so I tried their color, and it all came together as one. Also, I did another logo design, which could be used if the company doesn’t want to use the whole name of the company, which I used the same colors and concept. .
