Virtuous Book: Book Design

When presented with this project, the goal was to create a beautiful typographic book design that showcased the use of typography, creativity, and originality. At first, I must admit I felt very challenged and a little lost on how I could bring this regular essay to life, and make my audience want to keep looking through it just because of how aesthetically pleasing it was. At first, I started playing around with sketches that eventually came to life and other sketches that completely developed into different, unique designs. The use of typography and how to bring it apart to bring together this book was my main focus. The use of hierarchy, organic shapes, and illustrations were the stars of my book and both completely brought it to life. While still using grids, I wanted to make it loose and fun and for the viewer’s eye to flow through this design with nno difficulty.
